Just a mile from Barrett Hospital, Lucy’s Montana Manor was built with traveling nurses and lady “Travelers” in mind — though now and then, we do have a few good men staying down in the Bunkhouse Apartment.
Our cozy Western-style hotel lobby welcomes you in, and upstairs you’ll find three charming 1920s-inspired rooms, each with its own unique personality. Downstairs, there’s a roomy one-bedroom apartment perfect for longer stays.
We offer 1–9 month rentals, primarily for medical professionals and seasonal or remote workers who need a place that’s more than just a room — a place that feels like home.
Everything’s turnkey and ready to go, just the way proper nurse housing should be. We even set you up with starter cooking and cleaning supplies to help you settle in with ease.

The Manor
Built in 1915, this grand stone home has been a beloved landmark in our community for over a hundred years.
Often lovingly referred to as “the castle house,” it features quarried stone walls, Gothic-revival touches, a turret, and even a spire reaching toward the Montana sky.
We’ve carefully restored the property to keep its historic charm and elegance, while adding a few modern comforts and playful features for our guest residents to enjoy.
In 2023, we dedicated the home to our grandmother, Lucile — and in her honor, we opened our doors primarily to Travel Nurses and Medical Professionals coming to care for our town.
We also happily welcome remote workers and a few snowbirds looking for a peaceful, furnished place to stay.
At Lucy’s Montana Manor, we hope you’ll feel the history in the walls, the warmth in the welcome, and the comfort of a true home-away-from-home.

Welcome to the Doris Hawk, the original Master Bedroom of our breathtaking manor! This enchanting space is in remembrance of my great-grandmother, Doris, who was born just 15 miles away in the frontier town of Red Rock, now transformed into a serene nature preserve.
Step inside and immerse yourself in a beautiful blend of Victorian romance and alluring Western drama. Picture yourself enveloped in the warm embrace of rich, dark woods, while cozy cowhide rugs beneath your feet dance upon polished hardwood floors, inviting you to stay awhile.
The Doris Hawk room is more than just a place to rest; it’s a celebration of my great-grandmother's legacy, born in the late 1800s, offering you a window to the past and a sense of nostalgia that whispers stories of days gone by. As you enter this realm of comfort, you are greeted by luxurious Pendleton bedding and charming quilts that beckon you to sink into our inviting full-sized bed after a day brimming with adventure.
A grand Empire rocker invites you to unwind, while two elegant dressers and a beautiful dressing table create the perfect stage for your morning rituals. Glance at the stunning 1850s golden Victorian mirror, a breathtaking focal point, alongside a chic dress-up closet and an antique vanity that perfectly encapsulate a touch of nostalgic beauty. With exquisite antique lamps and cowhide pillows, each detail transports you back to the spirited West of 1915, the year our manor first came to life.

Step into the Trailblazin' Margaret, a heartfelt homage to my beloved aunt Margie—an extraordinary pioneer for women in the world of poker and a proud member of the Ladies Poker Hall of Fame. Here, her vibrant spirit intertwines with the legacy of my great-grandmother, who raised nine children on a picturesque homestead just north of here.
As you enter, a sense of Montana tranquility envelops you, cradled by the gentle hush of the room, where soft light dances through exquisite velvet curtains. The charming Art Deco lamps, adorned with delicate icy beads, cast a warm, coral glow that enriches the ambiance. Beneath your feet, rich cowskin and soft oriental carpets resonate with rustic elegance against the stunning hardwood floor.

She was wild, adventurous, and loved to fish and soak in nature, all while making every place feel like home. With her fondness for bright colors and plush velvets, I often reminisce about visiting her beautiful ranch.
This enchanting room boasts stunning original stained glass that dances with sunlight and a cozy double Iron bed draped in luxurious Pendleton bedding and vibrant Bohemian quilts. You’ll find a harmonious blend of elegant lace, soft velvets, and classic Western toile cotton sheets, all beautifully complemented by rustic 1800s furniture.
