Extended-stay lodgings with Western soul.
Montana-made goods & vintage finds inside The Velvet Spur.

A different kind of Montana stay.
You won’t find mass-produced rustic or ranch chic here. Lucy’s is a hand-built homage to the women who made the West livable, who kept lipstick in their saddlebags and secrets in their teacups.
Tucked inside a historic 1915 stone house in Dillon, Montana, each room tells a layered story: vintage, romantic, and just a little wild. Whether you’re here for a quiet month of writing, a travel nurse rotation, or a solo reset, you’ll find something rare—soul.
And for those who know where to knock, there’s The Velvet Spur, our hush-hush boutique of Montana-made goods, vintage notions, and quiet luxuries. A stash of treasures wrapped in ribbon and a little mischief, just downstairs from your room.
We’re not a hotel. We’re a memory wrapped in Pendleton and rosewater, made for those who crave comfort with character.

The Doris Hawk is a comfortable, well-settled room designed for guests who want their space to feel reliable and easy to live in. It’s generously sized, thoughtfully furnished, and set up so you can unpack, spread out, and get on with your life while you’re here.
The room is named for a woman known for her capability and steadiness, and it reflects that same energy. Nothing about the Doris Hawk is precious or showy. It’s a room that works, feels good at the end of a long day, and doesn’t ask much of you.
Traditional furnishings, layered textiles, and warm lighting give the space a grounded, lived-in feel. Heavy drapery supports rest at any hour, and the seating area offers a comfortable place to read, decompress, or simply sit quietly before turning in. The Doris Hawk suits guests who appreciate comfort, calm, and a room that feels ready for them.

Trailblazin’ Margaret is a bright, expressive room designed for longer stays and guests who like a space with personality and momentum. It’s the kind of room that feels good to wake up in, easy to live in, and comfortable to come back to after a long day.
Named for a woman remembered for her independence and forward motion, Margaret reflects a spirit of curiosity and self-direction. Traditional furnishings are mixed with personal art, layered rugs, and warm lamplight, giving the room energy without chaos and charm without fuss.

June’s Getaway is a warm, welcoming room designed for guests who want their space to feel comforting and familiar the moment they arrive. It’s soft around the edges, easy to settle into, and especially well suited to longer stays where rest matters as much as routine.
Named for a woman remembered for her warmth and steady kindness, June’s Getaway carries a gentle, grounding energy within the house. The room blends traditional furnishings with layered textiles, lamplight, and personal details that make it feel lived-in rather than styled.
With generous storage, a comfortable seating area, and thoughtful lighting, June’s Getaway is ideal for guests who want a room that feels supportive rather than stimulating. It’s a place to land, exhale, and recharge quietly between shifts—uncomplicated, comforting, and easy to be in.

Lucy’s Bunkhouse is a finished basement apartment that offers exceptional privacy and a surprising sense of warmth and character. Set apart from the other guest rooms, it feels more like a self-contained Montana living space than a downstairs accommodation.
Guests often describe the Bunkhouse as homie and deeply comfortable, the kind of place that feels familiar right away. Original Western art, cowhide rugs, antique lamps, and solid, well-loved furnishings give the space a grounded, authentic Montana feel. Many guests say they forget they’re downstairs and simply feel at home.
The Bunkhouse is one open living area designed for everyday use, with room to sleep, lounge, and settle into daily routines without interruption. It includes a comfortable queen-sized bed and a private bathroom with a large, original clawfoot bathtub. The bathroom is set up for soaking and bathing; there is no separate shower, which guests often appreciate for relaxation.
A small, apartment-style kitchen setup, just shy of a full kitchen, makes longer stays practical. Amenities include an apartment-size refrigerator, a Wolfgang Puck countertop oven, and essentials for regular meals. The space supports simple, everyday cooking without the feel or expectation of a full chef’s kitchen.
Lucy’s Bunkhouse can accommodate travel partners or significant others, and well-behaved, pre-approved dogs may be considered. Because the space is private and separate from other guests, it works especially well for shared stays when expectations are aligned and approved in advance.

“My dog Monkey and I stayed in The Doris Hawk room at Lucy's Montana Manor for several months. It was a blessing to have gotten to stay and miss the place now that I home in Texas. The landlords lived downstairs but she never bothered any of the upstairs tenants unless asked and it there was never a problem or any concerns about privacy.. The place was super clean, quiet all the time, super safe and one of the lowest priced housing options available in Dillon Montana. It's in a beautiful neighborhood within walking distance to the library and lil downtown shops. Me and my fur baby were treated like family while there and I would highly recommend this quaint and charming place to anyone. And after I got back home to Texas, Noelle sent me the most awesome package full of goodies from the merxhantile. I am thankful to have met Noelle and be allowed to stay in her home.”

The Doris Hawk 2024
“I stayed at Lucy’s Montana Manor in Dillon for about three months while I was in town for a Forest Service internship, and it was exactly the kind of quiet place I was hoping for. The house stayed very calm and peaceful the whole time — in three months I only actually met one of the other residents in passing, even though I saw cars coming and going.
My room was warm, romantic and set up in a very self-contained way, which I really appreciated. I had a nice little kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, air fryer/griddle, coffee maker, and crockpot, so it was easy to cook simple meals without having to share a big kitchen. Everything was super clean and comfortable, and I really appreciated the laundry and linen service being handled for me — it made life a lot easier during a busy season.
I was able to get my groceries delivered without any issues, and when I came down with a bad cold, they even dropped off medication outside my door so I didn’t have to go out. If you’re looking for a quiet, low-key place to stay in Dillon where you can just do your work and rest, Lucy’s Montana Manor is a great option.”

Lucy’s Bunkhouse 2025
“Lucy’s Montana Manor is honestly one of the best most memorable places I’ve stayed in the US. The house is spotless, cozy, quiet, affordable, and full of that old-school montana charm that makes you feel like you just stepped back in time. It’s the kind of place where you instantly relax the second you walk in.
Their service is incredible. She’s warm, easy to talk to, and goes out of her way to make you feel taken care of. The guy even got my car started.
If you’re coming to Dillon and want a peaceful, comfortable, with real hospitality this is the place to stay.”
